review: ojon® tawaka™ "the ball"

I've been eyeing this little ball for a hot minute now, but could never justify the $65 price tag. Imagine my surprise to see it half off on the Sephora website 2 days before Christmas. You know I called over to have them hold one and hauled ass before they sold it out from under me. I used it for the first time last night and I have to say I loved it. You roll it all over your body and it gently exfoliates the dead skin away. It's made of antioxidants and other yummy things that are good for your body (minus the nasty silicones, parabans, and mineral oils in most products). It smells like deep dark chocolate and comes with its own little wooden tray which looks nice in the bathroom. I'm really curious to see how long this bad boy will last. I consider it a luxurious treat and to be honest I probably wouldn't buy it again unless I got a gift card or came into some extra money or something (even if it were still half off). $35 is a lot to pay for an exfoliator let alone double that at full price. I'm actually curious if they will still make this product since it's still listed as being on sale on the Sephora website. Sephora also carries "The Ball" in white and it's supposed to gently clean and detoxify your skin versus exfoliating it.

i think i love crisco...

and not for baking! I've only used it one day, but I think I may be in love. I first read about Crisco on and I kind of glossed over it. But my hair has been so incredibly dry lately that I know I needed something to really seal in the moisture. I re-read all of my hair blogs that I have bookmarked and ran across the Crisco post again so I figured why not. I picked up huge can for $4.98 at Wally's World. Not sure if I'll ever really use the entire can but they only had one size. Last night I rubbed some on my ends of my hair, on top of my moisturizer I use on my feet, and the dry patch on my right cheek lol. My skin and hair felt so smooth when I woke up. And if you're wondering it doesn't have a smell and the texture is kind of like shea butter, but a little smoother. If it's okay to put in my body, it's okay for the outside IMO.

review: maybelline lash stiletto

So I admit I was enticed by the packaging. What can I say? I'm a sucker for new pretty things! I love how it looks like the actually heel of a stiletto shoe. Great way to tie the name in and it clearly worked cause they reeled me right on in. The mascara is supposed to give the lashes a sleek long look, as opposed to a heavy pumped up look, so if fat lashes are you thing, this mascara is not for you. I used it for the first time this morning and I'm not sure how I feel about it. I was kind of in a rush today so I'll try it again tomorrow but it definitely didn't "wow" me. I was actually disappointed. My lashes were slightly longer, but not crazy touch the tips of my sunglasses long. I actually ended up going over them again with my trusty Cover Girl Lash Blast mascara which gives me the oomph that makes my eyes look crazy big. I'll probably end up using the Lash Stiletto on the inner corners of my eyes and my lower lashes. The mascara retails for $8.95 but I found mine for $6.98 at WalMart.
